"Theological education is not just an academic requirement; it is an essential preparation for pastoral office and ministry as a whole."

Why do we need Theological Education?

Many different people have various views on theological education. In the context of Nepal, it is not merely a necessary education for pastors and leaders; it is crucial for the present and future church in Nepal. God opened the door for the Gospel to reach Nepal around the 16th century, but the government and the people largely did not accept the message. Instead, they did everything they could to chase away every single messenger and believer. It is by the grace of God that Nepal has become one of the most receptive countries in the world today, where the Gospel is touching the hearts of many. However, as churches are growing and believers are maturing in their faith, many false teachers and teachings from around the globe are infiltrating the churches of Nepal.

Here are the needs for theological education for pastors and emerging leaders in Nepal:

1. To defend their faith against false teachers and teachings.

2. To provide Biblically healthy spiritual nourishment for the growth and health of the church.

3. To raise biblically rooted second-generation leaders for Nepali churches.

4. To encourage and inspire leaders and the church by learning from the historical mistakes and achievements of the church.

5. To prepare pastors and leaders for Biblically sound preaching, teaching, and Discipleship endeavors.
